Job Summary
Salem Hospital, a community hospital and member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Clinic Physician to join our multidisciplinary Pain Management Center. This is a 0.75 FTE position focused on the evaluation, treatment, and longitudinal management of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient pain management services, including patient evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up care
- Perform interventional pain procedures as appropriate to training and credentialing
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists, physiatrists, behavioral health providers, physical therapists, and nursing staff
- Utilize evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life
- Document all patient encounters and procedures in the electronic health record in a timely manner
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities
- Provide occasional consultation support for inpatient pain management needs as appropriate
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree and board certification (or board eligibility) in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Psychiatry
- Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (or equivalent experience) required
- Eligible for or currently hold a Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
