Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Maeve Media LLC d/b/a SalaryDr (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at salarydr.com, use Physician RVU Tracker, or engage our services.
Our Core Commitment
We do not sell your personal information. Contact and account identifiers are excluded from the approved public salary data view. When you submit, SalaryDr may publish the de-identified compensation record on SalaryDr and SalaryDr-owned channels as described in our Terms and this policy. We keep private identity and verification records separate from compensation submissions and pseudonymous Circle activity, and we do not display your email, legal name, or NPI to other Circle members.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you fill out forms on our website, book a consultation, engage our services, or communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, medical specialty, location, years of experience, employer type, compensation details (salary, bonuses, benefits), employment agreement terms, publication choices, and any other information you choose to share. Salary submission forms should not include employer names, patient information, or identifying details in free-text responses.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URL. This information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies.
SalaryDr Circle Verification and Activity
Before entering SalaryDr Circle, eligible members provide an NPI and declare whether they are a physician, resident, or fellow. We check the NPI against the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (“NPPES”) and may compare the registry name with the name associated with your signed-in account. During this process, we may receive registry status, enumeration type, taxonomy, credentials, role classification, and verification confidence. The raw NPI is used to perform the check and is not displayed to other members.
We store the full NPI encrypted in a restricted identity vault for account-level verification and duplicate prevention. Separately, SalaryDr Circle evidence tables store a keyed one-way fingerprint of the NPI, its last four digits, the registry source and check time, relevant professional classification facts, an assurance level, and an append-only verification event. Historical verification records may use a different one-way hash until the member completes a new check. These records are not available to other members and are restricted to authorized server and administrative access.
We also collect your Circle username, posts, replies, reactions, reports, channel memberships, poll responses, notification preferences, and account safety events. Your username and the professional role or specialty you choose to display may be visible to other eligible members. Poll responses are stored with your account and the coarse professional attributes shown on your profile (role, specialty, region) so we can understand physician experience over time and improve SalaryDr products; individual responses are never shown to other members, employers, or advertisers. Your salary and job-offer submissions remain separate from your Circle identity unless you expressly choose to open a submission for discussion using the controls we provide.
Physician RVU Tracker
Physician RVU Tracker stores the procedure codes, encounter dates, counts, modifiers, locations and notes you choose to enter, employer statement figures, compensation plan, and preferences needed to track work RVUs and estimate earnings. Patient names, medical record numbers, and other patient identifiers are not required. Do not enter patient information in notes or imported statements.
You can use the app without creating a SalaryDr account. Your RVU log and compensation settings are then stored on your device; system device backups may also contain them. If you sign in, we use your account identifier, email address, log, compensation plan, employer reports, templates, and supported preferences to back up and synchronize your records through Supabase. Signing out leaves the log on that device. Optional biometric locking helps restrict access, and the optional Home Screen widget displays a summary from the local log.
Apple processes in-app subscription payments. RevenueCat processes purchase history, app user identifiers, subscription status, and related device and technical information to provide purchases, entitlement checks, restoration, and subscription analytics, including when you use the app without a SalaryDr account. We do not receive your payment-card details from Apple. Deleting your SalaryDr account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage or cancel it through your App Store account settings.
The app offers an optional link to contribute compensation to SalaryDr. Opening that link does not submit your RVU log or compensation plan. You separately review and submit a contribution through the SalaryDr form, subject to the publication choices and privacy preview shown there. Public compensation records omit names and contact emails; professional and compensation details can still be recognizable to someone who knows your circumstances, as described in section 5 below.
You can export your RVU records from the app. Settings > Delete account deletes the shared SalaryDr account and its active RVU backup and clears this device's active RVU log after the server confirms deletion. This also affects other SalaryDr services using the same account. Retention exceptions and backups are described in section 8 and our data retention policy. Exported files and device backups are controlled by you and the services where you store them.
RVU Tracker does not use advertising tracking, access the advertising identifier, or request access to your contacts or precise location. Reminder notifications are optional. Websites opened from the app, including the optional contribution form, follow the website practices described in this policy.
Payment Information
Website payment processing is handled by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. In-app subscriptions use Apple and RevenueCat as described above. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for information on how they handle your payment data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide our compensation negotiation consulting services, including benchmarking, analysis, and coaching
- Communicate with you about your engagement, including scheduling, deliverables, and follow-ups
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Operate RVU tracking, estimated earnings, account synchronization, exports, reminders, and subscription access

- Share an eligible de-identified salary card through SalaryDr-owned channels as described in our Terms and this policy

- Operate Circle discussions, channels, member polls, notifications, safety tools, and moderation workflows
- Improve our services, data benchmarks, and website experience using de-identified and aggregated data
- Send you relevant information about our services, if you have opted in to marketing communications
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Protect Your Information
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission, secure storage systems, and limited access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We share information in the following circumstances:
- With your consent: When you have given us explicit written permission to share specific information
- Public salary records: After review, an eligible de-identified salary record may appear on SalaryDr. Individual cards may show exact compensation and recent submission timing but exclude your name, contact email, and exact years of experience. If you selected city visibility, your city may appear only after at least 10 approved submissions exist in the same city and specialty; otherwise we show a qualifying metro area or the state.
- SalaryDr-owned channels: We may post an eligible de-identified salary card through SalaryDr-owned accounts on services such as Instagram, TikTok, and X. Those platforms process public posts under their own policies.
- Service providers: With vendors that help us operate hosting, authentication, databases, email, payments, scheduling, e-signature, analytics, security, and content moderation, subject to contractual and access restrictions
- Legal requirements: When required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- Protection of rights: When necessary to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our clients or the public
- Business transaction: In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality and security protections
5. De-identified Salary Records and Aggregated Data
Approved public salary records are de-identified, not represented as impossible to re-identify. We exclude identity fields from public cards, keep exact ownership fields in a restricted store, never publish exact years of experience, and automatically broaden location or withhold a practice setting for small combinations. An exact city is published only when city visibility was selected and at least 10 approved submissions exist in the same city and specialty. Individual cards may show exact compensation, detailed professional context, and recent submission timing. These details can still be recognizable to someone who already knows your circumstances, so the submission preview is important. We also create aggregated statistics for benchmarking, research, and service improvement.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your browsing experience and analyze site traffic. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us understand how you interact with our website.
We may use essential cookies (required for website functionality), analytics cookies (to understand site usage patterns via tools like Google Analytics), and functional cookies (to remember your preferences). You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.
7. Third-Party Services
Our website and services integrate with third-party platforms, including:
- Calendly — for scheduling consultations
- Stripe — for website payment processing
- Apple and RevenueCat — for in-app payments, subscription status, and purchase restoration
- Google Forms — for client intake forms
- PandaDoc / DocuSign — for electronic signatures
- Instagram, TikTok, X, and similar social platforms — for eligible de-identified salary cards shared through SalaryDr-owned accounts
- Supabase — for authentication, database, and infrastructure services
- SendGrid — for transactional and engagement email
- OpenAI — for automated content-safety screening when that feature is enabled; content may still be reviewed by an authorized human moderator
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain records, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. A public salary record remains available until it is removed under our retention policy. A verified removal request hides the record immediately while an administrator confirms permanent deletion. Deleted data may remain in restricted backups for a limited period and may be retained when legally required; aggregate statistics that no longer identify or single out the submission may remain.
If you delete a Circle account, we remove or de-identify the account and identity links we use to identify you. Posts and replies may remain under a “Former member” label to preserve conversation integrity. We may retain de-identified, security, moderation, revocation, and append-only audit records where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, support aggregate verification claims, comply with law, and protect the service. Revoked verification records are excluded from active verified-member counts.
RVU account backups are retained while needed to provide account synchronization and are removed from active storage when the shared account is deleted. Deleted data may remain in restricted encrypted backups for up to 90 days, with longer retention where required for legal holds or disputes. Apple and RevenueCat maintain transaction records under their own policies and applicable legal requirements. See our data retention policy for additional details.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Deletion: Request deletion of personal information or a salary submission. Account removal requests hide the salary record immediately while final deletion is reviewed.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly
- Data portability: Request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@salarydr.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
10. California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at support@salarydr.com.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
