Nocturnist Emergency Radiologist

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Emergency Radiologist to join our growing academic faculty within the Department of Radiology. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative, high-acuity academic environment while maintaining a predictable night-focused schedule.

Our department is committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and academic achievement. The selected candidate will join a collegial team of subspecialty-trained radiologists supported by advanced technology, strong institutional resources, and a culture that values professional development and work-life integration.

Key Position Highlights

  • Dedicated overnight coverage within an advanced-care tertiary and quaternary academic medical center
  • Interpretation of a wide spectrum of emergency and inpatient imaging, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain radiography

  • Advanced IT infrastructure, optimized PACS systems, efficient workflows, and on-site radiology assistants to enhance productivity

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO (or equivalent)
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • ABR board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
  • Prior afterhours teleradiologist or emergency radiology experience preferred, but not required
