The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join our growing academic faculty within the Department of Radiology. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice comprehensive chest imaging in a high-volume, tertiary care setting while contributing to education, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration at a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Our department is committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and academic distinction. The selected candidate will join a collegial team of subspecialty-trained radiologists supported by advanced technology, strong institutional resources, and a culture that values professional development and work-life integration.

Key Position Highlights

  • Dedicated thoracic/chest imaging practice within a comprehensive academic medical center
  • Full spectrum of thoracic imaging, including chest radiography, thoracic CT (including low-dose lung cancer screening CT), high-resolution CT, and chest MRI
  • Interpretation of advanced thoracic imaging studies, including CT angiography for pulmonary embolism, interstitial lung disease imaging, lung cancer staging, and complex pulmonary and mediastinal pathology
  • Interpretation of advanced cardiac imaging including Cardiac CT and MRI (coronary CTA, structural exams, congenital CMR)
  • Participation in multidisciplinary collaboration with pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology through tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences
  • High-quality technologist and nursing support, with efficient workflows and robust IT/PACS infrastructure
  • Faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications and academic interests, offering involvement in resident and fellow education as well as opportunities to pursue research or advance clinical programs

Required Qualifications
