The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Emergency Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

We are currently interviewing candidates for all shifts and remote/hybrid opportunities are available for the right candidate. Weekend and holiday coverage is limited and equitably shared among faculty

Traditional in-person, 8am – 5pm coverage Monday – Friday with no evening or overnight call responsibilities.

Evening Shift: 5pm – 2am; 7 days on, 14 days off

Overnight Shift: 11pm - 8am; 7 days on, 21 days off

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Emergency Radiology who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity. Department/Division Overview
The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is experiencing significant growth across its research, education, and clinical missions, positioning it as a national leader in imaging innovation and care delivery. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) serves as a cornerstone of this advancement, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging. With an expanding focus on artificial intelligence—supported by Ohio State’s designation as an ACR Recognized Center for Healthcare-AI (ARCH-AI)—as well as theranostics and advanced imaging technologies, and ongoing renovations to support state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative team science, the CIE is strengthening its role in discovery, education, and training the next generation of imaging scientists. 

The department continues to strengthen its educational programs through a comprehensive portfolio of residencies and subspecialty fellowships, supporting a diverse pathway for trainees and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in graduate medical education across diagnostic and interventional radiology. 

Clinically, Radiology is rapidly expanding to meet growing patient demand and support the Wexner Medical Center’s Impact 2035 strategic vision. This includes major investments in new and renovated facilities, such as the recently opened 820-bed inpatient hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center. In parallel, the department is extending its reach through new ambulatory care centers in New Albany, Dublin, and Powell, alongside established imaging sites across the region—enhancing access, capacity, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered imaging services. 

The Division of Emergency Radiology focuses on all aspects of diagnostic imaging in the Emergency Department setting, in particular, interpretation and consultation on emergent studies in radiography, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI.  By joining our faculty, you will have excellent opportunities for advancement, while working with an exceptional cadre of multidisciplinary providers.  Faculty are supported by many outstanding clinical, research, and educational resources in the department and organization, including substantial, dedicated expertise in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Availability to work on-site in the Emergency Department as needed would be desired, with some flexibility available to work some shifts remotely.
• Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Emergency Radiology Division of the Department of Radiology:
  • Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Emergency Service.
  • Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Emergency Service.

• Education, Training, and Faculty Development:
  • Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
  • Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
  • Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
• Research and Scholarship:
  • Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation
