Northwell Health is recruiting a part-time (0.8 FTE) BE/BC Child and Adolescent psychiatrist to join the school mental health team in Westchester County. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills who have a passion for collaboration and innovation.
This is a truly unique opportunity to join the growing school mental health service as a consultant psychiatrist in our partnering school districts to provide formal psychiatric evaluations in the schools, on site or virtually. The consultant psychiatrist is supported by a multidisciplinary team at the Behavioral Health Center, which is an ambulatory crisis service that provides urgent assessments and short-term crisis care to the students of partnering districts. The clinical team includes physicians, psychologists, mental health counselors, care coordinator, and administrative support. In addition to providing clinical care for students and consultation to schools, our team also offers professional and community education, curricular support, and care coordination to the participating school districts. Travel includes our partnering school districts in Westchester County.
