The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant physician or physician-scientist to join its growing academic cardiovascular team. This faculty member will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care for patients with advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support needs, and cardiac transplantation, while contributing to the clinical, educational, and research missions of the division. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a collaborative, multidisciplinary heart failure and transplant program at the nationally recognized Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Candidates with an interest in clinical investigation, translational science, outcomes research, or education are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and participation in scholarly activity consistent with academic rank and track.
The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is setting new standards for advanced heart and vascular care through our internationally and nationally recognized experts of more than 60 cardiology and vascular medicine specialists. We offer heart and vascular patients some of the most exciting and innovative technologies, treatments, and clinical trials, many of which are only available at Ohio State. The majority of our faculty are principal investigators on a variety of research projects in both the basic, translational, and clinical research settings.

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, comprised of over 60 cardiologists with focus areas to include: general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory assist, pulmonary vascular disease, women’s cardiovascular disease, cardiac MRI/CT, and cardio-oncology. The Division is affiliated with the Ross Heart Hospital, which ranked as “Best Hospital” in the top 50 in the nation as reported by US News and World Report. In addition to the 60 cardiologists, there are seven fellowship programs: core cardiovascular medicine fellowship, interventional cardiology fellowship, electrophysiology fellowship, heart failure and cardiac transplant fellowship, adult congenital heart disease fellowship, cardio-oncology fellowship, and cardiovascular diagnostic imaging fellowship. The division provides services in over 12 counties in Ohio and Kentucky

Faculty Defined
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research.
Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.
Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study.
