The Opportunity: The Internal Medicine Residency Program at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital has been training physicians to practice with skill, compassion, and integrity since its inception in 1964. SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital now seeks an experienced physician leader to serve as Program Director and carry that legacy forward. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, the Program Director will lead an established, ACGME-accredited program with the faculty, academic depth, and institutional commitment to shape the next generation of internists. Position Summary: The Program Director provides overall leadership for the residency - its educational quality, accreditation standing, and reputation - and integrates the program with the department's clinical and academic mission. The role carries no less than 50% protected time (0.5 FTE) for program administration and education, consistent with ACGME requirements, with the balance dedicated to clinical practice and teaching. The position includes an academic faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience.
