About this role We have a unique approach to caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. Our Cardiovascular Hospitalists include an independent hospitalist team that works primarily out of the Acute Cardiovascular unit at Utah Valley Hospital. This collaborative group of Internal Medicine trained/certified Hospitalists admits patients coming in with a presumed primary cardiac condition and provides comprehensive consultative service within the CV unit. There are dedicated CV Intensivists in the building, so there is no ICU care provided by the CV Hospitalist team. They manage most heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, primary and secondary arrhythmias admitted. The CV Hospitalist patient population covers the whole breadth of Internal Medicine as they work closely with ID, rheumatology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, GI, and heme/onc, in addition to the CV based specialists.
