Full description
The Northwell Health Cancer Institute seeks full-time, board-certified oncologists or hematologic oncologists to join our busy practices based across New York State. The ideal candidate will either have a track record, or promise, of clinical expertise and academic accomplishments to facilitate delivering exceptional clinical care, and participating in the Cancer Institute’s disease management teams committed to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research, and education. We are seeking BC/BE Oncologists at the following locations Queens County (Spanish speaking, and/or Mandarin speaking preferred) Nassau County (General, Malignant/Benign Heme, Thoracic/Head and Neck) Manhattan (Malignant/Benign Heme) Staten Island (Experienced physicians preferred) Suffolk County (General) Northwell Health Cancer Institute treats more than 16,000 patients with cancer, giving patients access to the services of more than 200 Cancer Institute physicians in more than 25 sub-specialties. The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is home to Northwell Health’s research and is an epicenter for scientific discovery and innovation, including basic science and clinical research in molecular medicine, genetics, oncology, brain research, mental health, autoimmunity, and bioelectronic medicine. In 2015, Northwell Health and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory began a strategic affiliation to accelerate cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment. This collaboration offers the ability to deliver cancer therapeutics to patients throughout the region, while also meeting the comprehensive medical and surgical needs of those with cancer and at risk of the disease. We care for more New Yorkers with cancer than any other health system. With Northwell’s acquisition of Nuvance Health, we’ve increased that capacity even more, extending our reach into Connecticut and the Hudson Valley. Meanwhile, we continue to add services at existing locations, and to recruit top specialists. Our goal is to provide the majority of our services in or near the communities where our patients live, work and raise families. Co-locating surgery, medical oncology and radiation oncology in one physical location, wherever possible, makes a big difference to patients who are dealing with the disruption of cancer, and shouldn’t have to add traveling long distances to their list of concerns. We’re also focused on offering standardized care, so that all our patients can be assured that no matter where they live, they’ll receive the highest standard of care. To simplify the journey, dedicated nurse navigators connect patients to the services they need, when and where they need them. Breaking through boundaries, both geographic ones and those that have kept people from receiving the care they deserve, is what we do at the Northwell Cancer Institute. Northwell Health is New York State’s largest health care provider and private employer, with 28 hospitals and 1,050 outpatient facilities. Nuvance Health, which provides exceptional care for the Hudson Valley and western Connecticut communities, has proudly joined Northwell. This means expanded access to renowned care, resources and expertise has come to 12 counties. We care for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from our communities. Our 103,500 employees – 19,000+ nurses and 12,000+ credentialed physicians, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners – are working to change health care for the better. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Physicians are employed through Northwell Health Physician Partners, one of the largest medical groups in the country.
