Danbury Hospital , located in Danbury, Connecticut, just 60 minutes north of New York City in Fairfield County and next to Westchester County in NY, is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist with sub-specialty interest in GI/GU Oncology to join its long established and growing practice. Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we are expanding our clinical trial portfolio and positioning ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region. The GI/GU oncologist will work closely with our GI/GU team in our Danbury and New Milford locations. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in oncology and have subspecialty interest and/or experience in GI/GU oncology. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply. There is some teaching of medicine residents and medical students. Danbury has many of the key elements of a comprehensive oncology service line in place, including state-of-the-art radiation oncology and Surgical specialty services in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary Oncology and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Nurse navigation, genetic counseling and screening are available onsite. There is ample opportunity to pursue research and clinical trials. Compensation: $475,000-$600,000 annually, relative to experience $50,000 Sign on bonus/retention package plus relocation allowance is available for full time candidates.
