100% Physician-Owned Freestanding ER in DFW (Arlington) - Offering Base + Profit Sharing
We recently took over a newly opened FSER from a non-physician owner who lacked operational expertise. New group is 100% physician owned w/ extensive FSER experience. We have ZERO debt/bank loans and operational cushion. Offering base + profit sharing to ALL docs.
Looking for working ER docs to start by August (preferably) or September. 23 shifts/month already filled (need 7 more). Great bedside manner is a MUST.
Compensation:
- Get “partnership” advantages with NO buy-in and NO risk for cash calls
- $150/hr base + profit sharing (dependent on volume)
- STO/Observation Bonus
- Holiday bonus per 24 hr shift for most major holidays (if you work it)
Site Info:
- Excellent location - 300k population within 5 miles and on busy street
- Site opened by previous owner 3 months ago (2nd gen site)
- Previous owner was not clinical, no healthcare/ER experience, and did 0 marketing.
- Currently only seeing 2-3 pts per 24 hr shift, but will increase with optimized marketing/FSER operations
- Previous site saw 6-8 pts/day in the summer and 15-18 pts/day during winter season
- Difficult to project patients/day going forward, but likely increase steadily
- EMR is EPowerDoc
Shift Requirement:
- Prefer docs to work 2 to 6 shifts (24 hrs) per month
- Can do 48 hr shifts until volume is > 10 pts/day
- 1099
Requirements:
- Live "close" to DFW (within 2 hr drive to Arlington)
- Shift requirement per above
- Prefer ABEM/ABOEM boarded (will consider FM boarded w/ extensive FSER and ER hospital experience)
- Have private FSER experience
- Have great bedside manner (VERY important). We're not a “treat and street” shop. Docs sit to speak w/ patients and some can have higher expectations than a typical hospital ER.
- Comfortable seeing Personal Injury patients (physician still has 100% autonomy)
- Participate in 1 marketing event annually for every shift/month you work
- Know observation medicine (if indicated and reasonable)
