Questions to ask the employer

  • Is $416,160 base salary only, or expected total compensation including bonus and productivity?
  • The posted pay sits below what 46 Cardiology physicians report (region median $600,000) — what closes that gap: productivity upside, bonus, equity, or schedule?
  • What is the call schedule, and is call compensated separately or built into the base?
  • At 0.8 FTE, how do compensation, benefits, and call scale — and is moving to 1.0 FTE an option later?
  • How many weeks of PTO and CME time are included, and is unused time paid out?
