Responsible for the supervision of registered nurses, patient care associates, support personnel, and other team members as directed. Reports to the Associate Chief Nurse, Nursing and Clinical Services of the designated areas. Work schedule is primarily days with 24/7 accountability. Advance Clinical Excellence Partner closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary leaders to advance care and ensure a caring, healing and collaborative environment. Creates an environment that supports and celebrates the professional growth of nursing practice at all levels of experience. Advance evidence-based practice, innovation, and nursing scholarship. Provides opportunities for staff development and growth including participating in committees. Qualifications Current registration/licensure in nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. MSN, DNP, PhD, or BSN with Master’s degree in a related field, required. Five + years nursing experience required. Current certification required; certification must be maintained while employed in this position. 3-5 years nursing management experience. Cardiac experience preferred. Previous leadership experience with demonstrated management ability is preferred. Clinical experience will be evaluated on an individual basis by the hiring associate chief nurse. Skills and Abilities - Required Must have demonstrated clinical competence in nursing practice. Must possess analytical abilities necessary to organize, to supervise and to evaluate the work of others; to develop and to administer policies, procedures, budgets, and utilize current concepts of nursing practice. Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to provide effective leadership to staff, and to interact with patients, visitors, physicians, other clinical disciplines and a variety of hospital departments. Must possess both management and leadership skills to be effective with multiple levels of staff.
