Responsibilities and Duties Provide hybrid inpatient and outpatient urology coverage Conduct ½-day clinic or elective OR sessions during weekdays Manage inpatient consult coverage on weekdays Provide inpatient urology coverage exclusively on weekends Round on active inpatient consults Handle approximately 5–10 phone consults daily Evaluate new urologic consults, with hospitalists managing admissions Coordinate care with nursing, urology techs, hospitalists, and local urologists Primarily treat adult patients, with very limited pediatric cases Perform general urology procedures including advanced endoscopic techniques, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and renal & bladder ultrasound Additional Information Board Certification required in Urological Surgery EMR system utilized: Athenahealth Work in a hybrid inpatient and outpatient setting Approximately 5–10 phone consults per day Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities
