The Department of Urology at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is recruiting a full-time Urologist at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital!

Position Overview:

  • Develop and cultivate positive and productive working relationships with other Corewell Health personnel, and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service and distinctive, personalized care with both internal customers (coworkers, fellow employees, hospital staff, etc.) and external customers (patients, family members, referring physicians/specialists, etc.), while striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist in meeting operational, financial, and patient satisfaction goals.
  • Timely completion of all specific competencies and annual organizational mandatories.
  • Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients.
  • Provide quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensure coverage of case load at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with patients’ families, referring physicians, specialists, nursing staff and other hospital departments regarding the plan of care and treatment of patients, including within 24 hours of admission, for any major change in a patient’s condition, and within 24 hours prior to discharge.
  • Document medical services in the patient’s medical record in a manner consistent with hospital, payor, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend coverage, as required by the Department.
  • Participate in value-based reimbursement programs and quality initiatives, as required by the Department.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) / Quality Assurance (QA) and peer review activities as requested.
  • Assist, as requested, in the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
  • Support patient participation in clinical trials and research projects, assess clinical safety and efficacy data, consistent with Research Institute policies.
  • Provide oversight, teaching, and mentorship of fellows, residents, APPs (e.g., physician assistants and advance practice registered nurses), and students and others (as appropriate) providing services to patients, including meaningful participation with the affiliated medical schools as requested.

Corewell Health  Farmington Hills  opened on Jan. 19, 1965 as a 200-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 330-bed facility with Level II trauma status. With 174 residents and fellows with 15 accredited residency and fellowship programs, Beaumont, Farmington Hills offers high-quality, patient and family-centered care in orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, women’s services, oncology and surgical services. Corewell Health, Farmington Hills is the base teaching hospital for Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Botsford became part of Beaumont Health in September 2014. In 2022 Beaumont Health became Corewell Health.  Corewell Health Farmington Hills offers specialty services to better assist our community.  

Farmington Hills is the second largest city in Oakland County, part of the upscale suburbs of Metropolitan Detroit and is also about 20 miles northeast of Ann Arbor. Farmington Hills is a town in Michigan with a population of 83,562. Located in Oakland County and is one of the best places to live in Michigan. Living in Farmington Hills offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Farmington Hills there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks.
