Job Type Faculty Date Available: Immediately Institution : Cooper University Health Care Job Description The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, at Cooper University Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time Urology Hospitalist who has completed an accredited residency in Urology and whose primary focus is on the evaluation and management of common urologic conditions in General Urology. The successful candidate must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Urology. The position will be filled in a rank and series commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate must be experienced in general urology conditions The candidate will work in a hospital-based setting managing inpatient consultations, rounding on patients and covering emergent and acute care procedures. Operating room privileges will be granted for surgical procedures based upon the candidate s experience. The candidate must have recognized skills in the education of trainees, including but not limited to, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows. All candidates must have or be able to obtain a New Jersey medical license. Applicants must meet all required qualifications by time of hire. Cooper University Hospital, the clinical campus of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, is the leading provider of health services to Southern New Jersey. Cooper s main hospital is in Camden, NJ, right across the river from Philadelphia. Cooper also has satellite ambulatory offices in the surrounding suburbs, including Voorhees, Moorestown, and Washington Township, with a surgery center based in Voorhees. The Division of Urology at Cooper University Hospital is an expanding program with 11 surgeons and 9 advanced practice providers who function in a team-based atmosphere.
