Physician Urgent Care Stockton, CA This role is ideally suited for physicians trained in Emergency Medicine, or those with backgrounds in Family Practice or Internal Medicine who possess significant Emergency Medicine experience. Organization: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Northern California Health Care System
Location: Stockton VA Clinic (Richard A. Pittman VA Clinic), French Camp/Stockton, CA
Position Snapshot Schedule: Full?time, MondayFriday, 07:3018:00 (variable to total ~36 clinical hours/week)
Salary: $260,000 $325,000 per year
Benefits: 5055 days PTO/year, federal pension (5-year vest), 401(k) matching, comprehensive insurance, CME stipend ($1,000/year), liability protection
Duties & Responsibilities Provide high-quality urgent care for Veteransmanaging acute/chronic conditions across diverse patient populations Conduct diagnostics, procedures, orders, referrals, and medication management Collaborate within multidisciplinary teamsincluding specialty services and resident training Ensure compliance with VA policies, patient safety, and national clinical standards
Qualifications Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Licensure: Current, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license
Residency: Completed ACGME/AOA-accredited residencyEmergency Medicine strongly preferred; Family or Internal Medicine with significant EM experience accepted
Citizenship: U.S. citizen (non-citizens eligible only if no qualified citizens available)
