OverviewSentara Medical Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Abdominal Transplant Surgeon to join our well-established transplant programs in Norfolk, Virginia. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, team-oriented physician with strong clinical and interpersonal skills to help shape and expand a dynamic program.
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital has been a leading center for kidney and pancreas transplants since 1972, performing over 2,000 successful transplants and offering comprehensive care for patients with end-stage renal disease. The Sentara Transplant center is recognized as one of the most active kidney transplant centers in Virginia, performing between 90-120 transplants annually including multivesicular kidney pancreas and heart kidney transplants. The program also offers robotic and laparoscopic living donor kidney transplantation and participates with the National Kidney Registry. Additionally, 8-12 pediatric kidney transplants are performed annually in collaboration with the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
