The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time General/Headache Neurologist to join its dynamic team on the Liberty Campus. We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about academic excellence, clinical research, and specialized patient care. Appointment at the University of Kansas School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for general neurology patients with a dedicated focus on headache diagnosis and management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to combine clinical practice and education within a collaborative, innovative environment. Job Duties:
- Provide expert care for general neurology patients with a focus on headache diagnosis and management in general and specialty clinics.
- Perform inpatient consultations and supervise continuity clinics.
- Minimal on-call coverage as part of the Liberty team.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in both formal and informal group education settings.
- Engage in scholarly activity and clinical research, including opportunities to participate in clinical trials (encouraged but not required).
Required Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Neurology
- Eligible for medical licensure in both Missouri and Kansas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of fellowship training in Headache Medicine
