What you will do:
- Provide physician leadership and psychiatric treatment to a Partial Hospitalization Program and a Psychiatric outpatient clinic
- Work on-site 5 days per week with PHP/IOP and clinic patients.
- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach.
- Administer and manage psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide care recommendations.
- Educate and support patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- DEA registration required
- Board certification or Board eligible in Psychiatry Required
- Current Illinois medical license required or pending
