Position Overview:
SSM Health is seeking an experienced Reconstructive Urologist or recent fellowship graduate to join our dynamic urology team. This unique opportunity offers the chance to be the sole reconstructive urologist within the entire SSM Health system, providing specialized care that no other urologist in our network currently offers.
Position Highlights:
- Practice Model: 50% outpatient, 50% inpatient
- Weekly Schedule: 2 days OR, 2 days outpatient clinics, ½ day administrative, ½ day flexible
- Call Schedule: 1:5 rotation (one weekend every five weeks)
- Locations: Dual footprint at Saint Louis University Hospital and SSM Health Saint Mary's Hospital
- Set Schedule: Predictable, structured weekly routine
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Outpatient Care:
- 2-3 half-day clinics per week
- 15-20 patients per clinic session
- Focus on reconstructive urology consultations and follow-up care
Surgical Services: Provide specialized reconstructive procedures including:
- Complex urethral repairs
- Complex urologic urinary diversion procedures
- Complex vesicovaginal fistula repairs
- Artificial urinary sphincter implantation
- Penile implant procedures
ACADEMIC AND TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES
- Residency Training: Essential role in training urology residents in reconstructive techniques (ACGME requirement)
