We seek an accomplished investigator with a strong track record in cancer biology, translational oncology, or precision diagnostics, whose work advances the understanding of tumor biology and enables innovative approaches to cancer diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes. Ideal candidates will have a robust publication record and an independently funded research program (or strong potential for sustained external funding).
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is undergoing transformative growth, with a fully implemented subspecialty practice model supporting a high-volume and diverse case mix. The department performs over 7 million laboratory tests annually and accessions over 65,000 surgical pathology cases, providing exceptional opportunities for clinicopathologic correlation and translational research.
The University of Kansas Cancer Center, the region’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center - offers a rich, collaborative research ecosystem, including:
- A certified CAR-T cell therapy program
- A Precision Medicine Center (COBRE-supported)
- Strong infrastructure for basic, translational, clinical, and population-based cancer research

About the Position:
