About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located in the Augusta Market Army Medical Central at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Serve as a clinical expert in delivering rheumatology medical care to active-duty personnel, their dependents, and other eligible beneficiaries. Provide consultative services and specialty coverage for the rheumatology service, including inpatient consultations and advice to other medical professionals. Evaluate patient care delivery to identify improvement opportunities, participates in quality assurance programs, and develops medical policy and guidance. Contribute to the education and training of medical students, interns, and residents as a faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Perform advanced treatment, handles emergencies, and assesses the fitness for duty and deployment suitability of service members.
