JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Pediatric Neuroradiology Radiologist

The Department of Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking an ABR/AOBR-certified or eligible radiologist with subspecialty pediatric neuroradiology fellowship training to join our Neuroradiology Imaging division.

The division currently has 8 faculty members interpreting nearly 13,000 MRI examinations per year. CCHMC has one of the best epilepsy programs in the country and strong neurosurgical, neurooncology, neurodevelopment, and genetics programs. Multidisciplinary conferences with other services are among the most robust in the institutions, with the Friday neuroimaging case conference the highlight of the week.

The case mix is diverse, ranging from basic outpatient radiographic diagnoses to complex imaging on tertiary and quaternary referral patients. The preferred candidate must have solid skills in all aspects of pediatric neuroradiology, strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to collaborate with clinicians to deliver the best imaging care.

Our goal is to continually improve the academic and educational aspects of pediatric neuroimaging, and candidates should be prepared to participate in these activities.

The Department of Radiology has:

  • 45 clinical faculty
  • 12 research PhD’s
  • One of the largest fellowship programs in the country, including one or two pediatric neuroradiology fellows per year
  • We perform approximately 280,000 imaging examinations per year across multiple sites of care
  • With a great mix of basic and tertiary/quaternary cases
  • Our clinical and research imaging equipment is state-of-the-art and includes 13 clinical MRI systems (including a dedicated 3T neonatal MRI) and 3 dedicated research MRI systems
  • Research/administrative time is provided to all faculty
  • Research start-up funding is available within the Department of Radiology and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital

Collegiality and collaboration are distinguishing characteristics of Cincinnati Children’s that make it one of the most enjoyable and productive places to make a career. Cost of living in the region is reasonable and the quality of life is high, with ample cultural and sporting venues, great parks and outdoor activities, a fantastic restaurant scene, a solid and growing economy, and strong educational institutions, all leading Cincinnati consistently to be named among the best cities to live (https://goo.gl/KDLaRY).

Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. CCHMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
