Primary Responsibilities.

Clinical Duties and Responsibilities of Employee.

• The primary responsibility of Employee shall be to provide full-time medical services, principally Radiology, with scheduled hours of a minimum of 36 hours per week providing imaging services for hospital and SMG sites or may be remote as agreed upon. Employee’s hours and work schedules shall be reasonable and similar to those of other physicians at SMG and based upon need in the community and shall be determined by SMG after consultation with Employee.
• Employee must be available for additional work if the need arises, including without limitation the need to cover vacation, CME, sick time of peers, and unexpected vacancies in staff positions.
• Employee’s clinical responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: All general radiology interpretations; including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, DEXA, general Nuclear Medicine services. Recognition is made that each radiologist has subspecialties and may not provide services for all imaging studies. The employee may be called upon for consultations in both SMG and hospital locations. Administrative duties in the field of radiology; and other clinical duties as required with the field of radiology as established from time-to-time by the Department of Radiology.
• Employee shall comply with SMG’s policies regarding call and coverage and shall participate in an on-call rotation to provide twenty-four (24) hour availability on an on-call basis as determined by SMG as consistent with rules and regulations. Primary call is shared among all radiology physicians. Interventional call coverage is shared by the Interventional radiologists.

Administrative Responsibilities of Employee.

• Administrative duties will be determined by the Chief of Radiology and/or President of SMG. At a minimum, such duties shall include preparation for tumor board case review, pathology addendums, quality assurance, and utilization review as requested and in accordance with SMG requirements. Will complete all work in a timely manner, keeping any addendums updated and ensuring such documentation is maintained in accordance with the accepted clinical standards.
• Employee will attend all Radiology Department meetings or review all minutes.
• Employee will participate in education of medical residents as directed.
• Employee will fulfill all other duties and obligations of SMG medical staff.

Required Qualifications: Employee will be qualified as a physician by the American Board of Radiology and will maintain all required certifications and qualifications.

Location of Work: Employee may be required to provide services at multiple location affiliated with SMG as well as Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Employee may work remotely as is reasonable ensuring appropriate coverage at in person sites.

Quality Assurance and Utilization Review: Employee will provide support to Quality Assurance and Utilization Review activities including, without limitation, reporting, and feedback of results.

Annual Performance Review: Employee’s performance for the previous year will be reviewed annually by the Medical Director, Department Head, or other individual designated by SMG.

Other Responsibilities: One employee of the radiology service will perform the role of Radiation Safety Officer.
