Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine physician to join a dynamic and expanding medical team. This role offers the chance to engage in high-acuity practice, delivering comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services to a diverse patient population in the Wiregrass region.
Responsibilities:
- Manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting
- Evaluate and treat complex pulmonary disorders
- Address conditions such as respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and pneumonia
- Conduct ICU consultations and collaborate with hospitalists and specialists
- Provide evaluations and follow-up care in the pulmonary clinic
- Perform procedures including bronchoscopy and other critical care interventions
- Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Mentor residents and medical students
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in Alabama
- Strong clinical and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
