About the Position Serves as a Physician (Psychiatry) in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) responsible for providing examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of diseases affecting mental health including the brain, nervous system, substance abuse of drugs or chemicals, and personality disturbances in CHILDREN and ADOLESCENTS. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Complete safety evaluations and provide walk-in care to children, family members, active duty service members (ADSMs) and retirees. Develop treatment plans and provide appropriate therapeutic and pharmacologic treatment services to children, family members, active duty members (ADSMs), and retirees. Provide appropriate referrals to other medical and mental health care providers in and outside of the Medical Treatment Facility. Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other professional staff such as psychologists, advanced practice nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers. Participate in committees and meetings responsible for the evaluation of care provided to patients at the Medical Treatment Facility. Conduct fitness for duty evaluations for active duty service members (ADSMs) and be able to place medical profiles and referrals for medical board evaluations.
