About the Position: This position is located at WRNMMC with the Director for Mental Health, Department of MH Consultation and Education, Psychiatry Consultation Liaison in Bethesda, MD. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Provide routine, complex, and emergency mental health care for a wide range of emotional, psychological, and mental disorders. Develop and implement treatment plans using advanced knowledge and skills, considering multiple therapeutic alternatives. Make appropriate referrals to internal and external medical and mental health providers as needed. Serve as an expert advisor on mental health policies and procedures within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF). Implement and monitor program initiatives for effectiveness and access. Ensure all personnel receive necessary professional training and continuing education. Oversee and participate in training programs for medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. Set goals and provide administrative and technical direction to subordinates. Assign performance ratings, approve awards, and take corrective actions as needed. Identify developmental and training needs of employees. Provide or arrange for necessary training and development opportunities.
