About the Position: Serve as a Psychiatry Physician delivering comprehensive mental health services, providing high-quality, evidence-based care that supports medical readiness, promotes wellness, and ensures continuity of care at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Provide treatment services such as inpatient and outpatient services, partial hospitalization, and emergency psychiatric service. Develop treatment and rehabilitation plans and provide appropriate therapeutic treatment services. Determine and provide mental health assessments of fitness and suitability for duty. Monitor treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine. Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations of patients. Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment. Provide referrals to other medical and mental health care providers. Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other staff. Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs.
