Palmetto Primary Care Physicians (PPCP), in affiliation with The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Primary Care Physician to join a well-established community-based primary care clinic in St. Stephens, South Carolina. This is a full time employed position with PPCP, serving Berkeley County, which is one of South Carolina's fastest growing communities.

Palmetto Primary Care Physicians (PPCP) is comprised of over 100 clinical providers with a wide range of expertise in primary and specialty care including endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, psychiatry, audiology and physical therapy. The company employs over 650 clinical and non-clinical staff throughout South Carolina and provides exceptional medical care for patients through 35+ physician's offices.
PPCP has proudly served patients since 1996 and is known for their innovative patient centered delivery model. Required Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board Family Medicine or American Board of Internal Medicine
Eligible for medical license in South Carolina
Current DEA and DPS Certification of Registration
Current CPR certificate required
Minimum two years of direct work or intern experience
Familiar with variety of the field's concepts, practices, and diagnostic procedures
Position Highlights:
Provides comprehensive patient care, including preventive education, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and exercising independent medical judgment.
Assesses patient needs to determine appropriate referrals, consultations, and urgency of follow-up care, and manages long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
Documents all clinical services accurately and timely in the medical record, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and confidentiality requirements.
Collaborates with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary care teams to support effective patient assessment, care coordination, education, and problem resolution.
Oversees assigned advanced practice providers and nursing staff, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and organizational patient care programs.
Demonstrates flexibility and efficiency in managing workload priorities, supporting team objectives, maintaining productive work practices, and adapting to changing operational needs.
