The Department of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, is seeking an accomplished, collaborative Plastic Surgeon to serve as Division Chief of Plastic Surgery. This is a physician leadership opportunity for a surgeon who wants a meaningful clinical practice combined with responsibility for program direction, team development, quality, and growth. The Division has a main clinical base at Loyola University Medical Center, with Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and the Hines VA Hospital also attended by the group. Loyola Medicine is a quaternary care system based in the western suburbs of Chicago that includes Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) in Maywood, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) in Melrose Park, MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, and convenient outpatient locations offering primary and specialty care services from 1,772 physicians throughout Cook, Will, and DuPage counties. Highlights of the Position Provide clinical, strategic, and operational leadership for the Division of Plastic Surgery Guide a service line that spans cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, facial reconstruction, body contouring, burn surgery, and complex wound care. Collaborate with Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Dermatology, Trauma, Wound Care, and hospital leadership to strengthen coordinated patient care. Partner with leadership on physician recruitment, access, quality improvement, operational standardization, and program expansion. Candidate Requirements MD or DO with Board Certification in Plastic Surgery. Prior leadership, service-line development, or physician management experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and to balance clinical excellence with operational stewardship.
