Full description
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Surgeon for an immediate 25-day assignment in Ohio. This role involves 24/7 call coverage during specific periods and focuses on inpatient rounding and operating room duties, with no clinic time required. The successful candidate will handle complex cardiac cases, including CABG/AVR and Pericardial Window procedures. Responsibilities and Duties Manage an inpatient workload of 2-3 patients per day, including 1-2 admissions and 1-2 consults daily. Perform an average of 1-2 cardiac cases per week, including CABG/AVR and Pericardial Window procedures. Conduct hospital rounding and operating room duties; no clinic time is required. Provide evaluations for 1-2 patients daily. Maintain an average of 4-5 admissions per week. Ensure a 60-minute response time for open heart emergencies. Additional Information Board Certification: Cardiothoracic Surgery Required Certification: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) EMR System: Meditech EHR Setting: Inpatient Call Schedule: Inhouse call, 24/7 coverage during specific periods (Nov 20-30 and Dec 22-Jan 4). Patient Volume: Approximately 2-3 inpatients, 1-2 admissions, and 1-2 consults per day. Average 4-5 admissions per week.
