We are seeking a Board Certified Pediatrician for an ongoing Pediatric Hospitalist locum opportunity in Wyoming. This position offers 12-hour in-house shifts, no call, a manageable patient census, and the opportunity to practice a broad scope of pediatric and newborn medicine in a collaborative hospital setting. Assignment Details Start: November 2026 Ongoing assignment Full-time vacancy Physicians only Schedule 12-hour in-house shifts Day: 7:00 AM 6:30 PM Night: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM No call No floating Practice Setting Pediatric Hospitalist Level II-B Nursery 12-bed pediatric unit Epic EMR Clinical Responsibilities Manage pediatric inpatients and newborns Attend deliveries and newborn admissions Perform circumcisions and frenotomies (if applicable) Lumbar punctures UAC/UVC placement CPAP and Optiflow management Continuous albuterol and magnesium sulfate administration DKA management (children over age 5 without cerebral edema) Outpatient pediatric infusion oversight Stabilize critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients prior to transport Respond to pediatric and neonatal codes and trauma activations Patient Volume Average pediatric census: 3 4 patients/day Approximately 4 deliveries/day Average NICU census: 2 3 infants Support Telehealth NICU and PICU support available Collaborative pediatric care team Children's specialty backup available for transport and consultation Requirements MD or DO Board Certified in Pediatrics Pediatric Hospitalist experience preferred Credentialing Approximately 4 6 weeks Ideal Candidate A Board Certified Pediatrician comfortable providing comprehensive inpatient pediatric and newborn care, including stabilization of critically ill infants and children, neonatal procedures, and collaborative management with specialty support.
