Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
• Join our Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Baystate Children’s Hospital (BCH) in Springfield MA. BCH is a 107-bed facility which provides complete critical care programs including the region’s only PICU & Level III NICU, as well as pediatric inpatient services and our pediatric emergency room. Our pediatric outpatient specialty center offers 15 subspecialty clinics. • The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is a well-establish and stable division that includes 13 physicians and 3 APPs, as well as our new PHM fellowship program. • Provide inpatient coverage for our 53-bed general pediatric and adolescent unit. All patients are covered residents or APPs. Coverage includes the well-baby newborn nursery service. We do not provide PICU, NICU or delivery room coverage. There is no in-house overnight call coverage required. • Serve as a clinical educator for our pediatric residents, PHM fellows and medical students. Faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. • Opportunities for involvement in QI, patient safety, operations, research and educational leadership are available for appropriate candidates. • Qualifications: ABMS BE/BC in Pediatrics. BE/BC in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred but not required. • This is a full time opportunity. • Our compensation package consists of a base salary of between $185,500- $315,000 (based on 1.0 FTE, experience level and qualifications) and annual incentive bonus opportunities.
