Description Were seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to join our inpatient team in Bakersfield, providing high-quality care for hospitalized children on a 7-on/7-off schedule (12- or 24-hour shifts). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with pediatric specialists and supporting continuity of care across the region. Position Highlights Serve as the pediatrician of record during each hospital stay, coordinating with primary care and specialty providers. Oversee admission and discharge processes to ensure safety, timeliness, and cost-effective care. Rapidly assess and manage acutely ill children, including coordination of transfers to and from the PICU. Teach and mentor pediatric residents during Patient-Centered Rounds. Participate in medical staff committees and continuous quality improvement efforts. Develop and monitor evidence-based clinical pathways to enhance the quality of inpatient care.
