Description: Were seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to join our inpatient team in Bakersfield, providing high-quality care for hospitalized children on a 7-on/7-off schedule (12- or 24-hour shifts). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with pediatric specialists and supporting continuity of care across the region. Position Highlights: Serve as the pediatrician of record during each hospital stay, coordinating with primary care and specialty providers. Oversee admission and discharge processes to ensure safety, timeliness, and cost-effective care. Rapidly assess and manage acutely ill children, including coordination of transfers to and from the PICU. Teach and mentor pediatric residents during Patient-Centered Rounds. Participate in medical staff committees and continuous quality improvement efforts. Develop and monitor evidence-based clinical pathways to enhance the quality of inpatient care.
