Full description
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts is seeking a BC/BE clinical pathologist to join a group of four clinical pathologists in the Division of Laboratory Medicine. Although each current member has a specific area of interest and responsibility, including: chemistry, toxicology and immunology; hematology and coagulation; point-of-care testing; flow cytometry; blood banking and apheresis; molecular testing; microbiology, virology, and parasitology; and clinical informatics, there is significant overlap across sections, and all periodically cover the entire laboratory. The successful candidate would participate in and be responsible for several critical functions of the laboratory. Current needs include assistance in core laboratory management and informatics. An interest in these areas is preferred, but fellowship training or board certification is not required. Board eligibility in Clinical Pathology with certification within one year is necessary. Diversification to other interests in laboratory services may be possible. In addition, growth of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System is expected to increase demand for services, as well as require integration with other hospital laboratories. There is ample opportunity to interact with clinical staff through interdisciplinary conferences and committee participation. Job Description Pay Range $358,000.00 USD - $406,000.00 USD The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses. As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
