General Job Responsibilities Provide expert care for patients with injuries and disorders affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Conduct a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy and soft tissue repair. Provide emergency care for traumatic injuries requiring immediate surgical intervention. Manage conditions through non-invasive techniques, such as medication or physical therapy, when appropriate. License & Certifications Board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS).
