General Job Responsibilities Diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Provide patient education about eye conditions, treatment options, preventive care and post-operative care instructions. Minimum Education Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in ophthalmology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). License & Certifications Board certification in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) or the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology (AOBO). Active and unrestricted medical license in Nevada.
