Hematology and Medical Oncology Physician

Alameda Health System is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematology & Medical Oncology Physician to join our growing oncology program in Oakland, California.

This is an outstanding opportunity to practice mission-driven medicine within a nationally recognized public healthcare system dedicated to Caring, Healing, Teaching, and Serving All. Physicians joining Alameda Health System become part of a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality, equitable cancer care to a diverse and underserved patient population.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient hematology and oncology services, participate in multidisciplinary cancer care, and contribute to the educational mission of the health system.

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluation and management of benign and malignant hematologic disorders.
• Diagnosis and treatment of solid tumor malignancies.
• Outpatient clinic care and inpatient consultation services.
• Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards.
• Collaboration with surgical, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, palliative care, and supportive care teams.
• Development of evidence-based treatment plans.
• Participation in quality improvement and clinical program development initiatives.
• Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students.

• Full-time position.
• Primarily outpatient practice with inpatient consultation responsibilities.
• Shared call responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Alameda Health System offers a competitive physician compensation package that may include:

• Competitive base salary. ($454,915.34 - $476,757.63 per year)

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• DEA certification and applicable credentialing requirements.

Preferred

• Experience caring for diverse and underserved patient populations.
• Interest in academic medicine and physician education.
• Commitment to quality improvement and multidisciplinary cancer care.
