Exciting Career Opportunity: Join the Brand-New Cancer Treatment Center in Longview!

Position: Hematologist-Oncologist Physician

Location: Longview, TX

Opportunity:

Join the esteemed CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Hematology/Oncology Team, a pioneering force in delivering exceptional multidisciplinary cancer care. With deep roots in the community, we are proud to usher in a new era of cancer treatment for East, Texas with the opening of our state-of-the-art Cancer Treatment Center in Fall 2026. This cutting-edge facility will feature approximately 32 infusion chairs overlooking a tranquil green park and healing garden, 18 exam rooms, and an on-site lab for convenient blood draws. The center will also be equipped with a two LINAC's to deliver external beam irradiation, a dedicated area to deliver theragnostic molecules, a 3.0 Tesla MRI, and PET Scanner.

Northeast Texas faces a significant need for advanced cancer treatment services, making this role vital to supporting and improving the health of the growing community. Position Highlights:

• Full Time Position
• 20% Hematology / 80% Oncology Anticipated
• Call: Shared
• This position will primarily operate out of CHRISTUS Good Shephard Hospital and the Cancer Treatment Center (once operational in 2026)
• Clinical Research opportunities available
• H-1B sponsorship available

Compensation & Benefits:

• Two-Year Guarantee starting at $700,000
• Sign on Bonus starting at $100,000

Physician-led multispecialty group with over 215 providers across the region. Our collaborative team includes:

• 50+ primary care physicians
• Specialists in gastroenterology, urology, general and neurosurgery, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, surgical oncology, OB/Gyn, and interventional radiology
• A dedicated hospital medicine team with a closed ICU, oncology as a consult only service
• Robust APC support to optimize clinical care

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd:

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center is affiliated with the CHRISTUS Health Network, one of the largest Catholic Health Systems in the United States. The hospital is a not-for-profit, full-service acute care facility with 425 beds, serving as a regional referral center. CHRISTUS has primary care practices located in communities throughout Northeast Texas and operates currently four, soon to be five, emergency rooms in the regions with over 130,000 patient visits annually. Recognized as a leading Level III Trauma Center, Good Shepherd plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and safety of residents from Longview and surrounding communities.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology
• Not required, but preferred, board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology
• Must also possess an unrestricted Texas Medical License or be eligible to be licensed in the state of Texas
