Work Shift
Wellstar Health System, one of Georgia's largest and most respected health systems, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Neurosurgeon with a strong interest in acute care neurosurgery to join a high-acuity, multidisciplinary program. This physician will focus on the evaluation and management of emergent and urgent neurosurgical conditions, supporting trauma, stroke, and critical care services across the health system.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating closely with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, neurology, and intensive care teams to deliver timely, life-saving interventions.
Opportunity Highlights
- 7 calls days over a 4 week schedule.
- Acute team surgeons who evaluate and stabilize a patient during call have the first right to schedule that patient as an elective case in their own OR block.
- Operating rooms with advanced imaging, robotics, and neuro-monitoring
- Full-time APP and clinical team support

- Support from strong hospitalist, neurology, trauma, and intensivist teams

Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Completion of accredited neurosurgery residency; fellowship training welcome
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
- Eligible for Georgia medical licensure
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, program-building mindset
