It has a long-standing history and tradition in the practice and advancement of Clinical Neurosciences by providing the most comprehensive care to patients with neurologic illnesses from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, brain tumors, Parkinson’s Disease and other movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders, stroke as well as other acute neurologic injuries. The department also has a robust laboratory research program that is particularly focused at advancing our knowledge of neurodegenerative disorders. In addition, UTMB has a highly regarded, fully accredited neurology residency training program. UTMB Faculty Opportunities The Department of Neurology, at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is expanding all services and is seeking motivated Neurology Faculty Candidates in the following specialty areas: General Neurology / Neurophysiology – EEG Focus Neuropsychology Neuro Oncology Neuro-intensivist/Neuro Critical Care (NCC) Neuro Hospitalist Candidate Requirements M.D. or D.O. degree. Board Certification/Eligibility in Neurology. Fellowship Training and Board Certification/Eligibility in specialty areas. A strong commitment to patient care, medical student, and resident education. Participation in research and scholarly activities. U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License.
