With no two patients or days alike, you'll collaborate to provide out-of-the-box, patient-focused strategies. Here are a few of the responsibilities you can expect: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic kidney conditions, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, electrolyte disorders, glomerular diseases, and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Manage patients receiving dialysis treatment and provide comprehensive care plans for those undergoing kidney transplant evaluation and post-transplant management. Collaborate with primary care providers, cardiologists, endocrinologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care. Educate patients on kidney disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options to promote long-term kidney health and overall well-being. Qualifications What you'll need as a Nephrologist. Graduate from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible Nephrologist. Active New York State License.
