Hospitalist - Flexible Day, Swing & Night Shifts Overview
A healthcare organization in Western Washington is seeking Board Certified Hospitalists for ongoing locum tenens coverage across multiple inpatient facilities. Opportunities are available for day, swing, and nocturnist coverage with flexible block scheduling and a preferred commitment of six to twelve months.

Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract: Ongoing (6-12 month commitment preferred)
Schedule:
- Days: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Swing: 2:00 PM-12:00 AM
- Nights: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
Block Scheduling: Preferred 7 consecutive days every other week; up to 14-day blocks considered
Call: None specified
Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine services
Manage daily patient rounding and admissions
Care for adult hospitalized patients across assigned shifts
Participate in code responses as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care
Document patient encounters using Epic

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency (third-year Internal Medicine residents will also be considered)
Active Washington medical license
Current BLS certification
Active DEA registration
Hospitalist experience preferred for Family Medicine physicians
ACLS capability strongly preferred
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
Eligible for hospital credentialing
