A collaborative neuroscience program in picturesque Northwest Connecticut, 30 miles west of Hartford, is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist for a part-time Neurohospitalist opportunity requiring just 12 weeks of inpatient coverage per year. Position Highlights Part-time, 12 weeks per year Each week consists of 7 consecutive days, 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Share telephone-based evening call coverage Weekend evenings covered by Teleneurology Consultative neurology service covering the ED, medical and surgical floors, and medical and surgical ICUs Care for a wide range of acute neurological conditions Acute stroke care experience essential Hands-on clinical supervision and teaching of advanced practice providers preferred Opportunities to participate in clinical research, quality improvement and patient experience initiatives Opportunities for resident and faculty interviews and professional/public lectures Practice in a 105+bed community hospital Join a rapidly expanding neuroscience program with 165+ neuroscience physicians and advanced practitioners across multiple subspecialties Compensation & Benefits Health benefits 401(k) with match CME allowance and additional CME stipend Paid malpractice with 100% tail coverage Board certification and licensing fees paid Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in Neurology Comfortable providing acute stroke care Willingness to supervise and teach advanced practice providers preferred Location & Lifestyle Nestled in the scenic Litchfield Hills of Northwest Connecticut, this community combines historic New England charm with easy access to larger metropolitan areas.
