Per Diem Hospitalist Physician Location: Central New York Pay Rate: $150/hour Schedule Options: Day, evening, and night shifts available (six- and nine-hour shifts) A leading healthcare provider in Central New York is seeking a Per Diem Hospitalist Physician to join its Hospitalist Services team. This role involves delivering high-quality inpatient care in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical care to hospitalized patients and coordinate appropriate follow-up after discharge.
• Conduct daily rounds on assigned patients within the Hospitalist Program.
• Complete a comprehensive history and physical exam within 12 hours of patient assignment and dictate the report within 24 hours.
• For patients admitted overnight, dictate admission notes on the stat line upon arrival.
• Respond to medical crises or significant changes in patient condition when the attending physician is unavailable, including timely consultation as needed.

Position Requirements

• Active and valid license to practice medicine in the state of New York.
• Unrestricted DEA and state registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances.
• Eligible for active medical staff membership and clinical privileges aligned with the role.
• Completion of Medical Staff credentialing process upon hire.
