Nocturnist position 30 minutes to New Orleans. This is block scheduling with patient census around 17 for each provider. The floors are divided between the two nocturnist for floor coverage. They cover codes on their assigned floors. They rotate admissions. A7p-10p they still have 3 swing providers in the admission rotation and after 10p til midnight they have one swing provider in the admission rotation. After midnight til 7a- it is just the two nocturnist. Must help collaborate/sign off with some of the APPs patients as they work til 10 and 12mn and swing provider had been doing it all day Wonderful office set up right by the ER so it is VERY convenient!. Teamwork is crucial between swing and nocturnist Daily staffing - 7MDs/4APPs for day shift, 1 MD + 2 APPs- swing shift, 2 MD- nocturnist. 129 bed facility, open ICU, procedures not required.
