What you'll be working in Hospital-based inpatient practice at a 100-bed facility Typical daily census: 14-24 patients Admissions: about 4-5 per day Consults: about 4-6 per day, mainly for behavioral health and rehabilitation services No trauma designation On-site coverage with no expectation of being called back once your shift ends Key responsibilities Provide full-spectrum hospital medicine care for adult inpatients Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic conditions, and perform daily rounds Admit and stabilize new patients while coordinating ongoing inpatient care Address clinical needs during assigned shifts and arrange consultations with behavioral health, rehab, and other services as needed Work closely with nursing, specialists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans Lead discharge planning and transitions of care to ensure safe handoffs Maintain timely, accurate medical documentation Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active New Hampshire medical license and current DEA registration BLS certification If you value a team-oriented environment, steady inpatient volumes, and clear shift boundaries, this role in Rochester could be a great fit.
